K. SERP & STUDIO OFFBEAT

FIRST CONTACT

The first contact with K. Serp took place via Instagram. It quickly became clear to us that we wanted to produce something together. Due to the distance (Moscow / Hamburg) and the difficult Covid 19 conditions at the time, a trip was out of the question. Another solution must be found.

 

EXCHANGE

We decided on a new kind of cooperation. The basis was worked out by exchanging sketches. First a piece was created that was painted by K. Serp in Moscow, then the piece in Hamburg.

 

IMPLEMENTATION

During the implementation, it was a challenge to reproduce the design language of the other. This led to a more intensive study of the other's painting technique. Over the long distance, a very personal collaboration emerged that would probably not have existed without Covid 19.
