Despite the german monument protection and the climate crisis, Hamburg's City-Hof high-rises were not renovated, but demolished to make way for a new building. The colors and shapes of the City-Hof high-rises are the inspiration for the mural on this nearby high-rise. Thus, a connection is made to the enormous mass of gray energy that resides in such a building, waiting for a meaningful use (possibly a repurposing). Since this building is empty and an architectural competition has already taken place, the future remains uncertain.
