SCULPTURE PROTOTYPE

MATERIALS

The materials used are leftover flooring that was saved from disposal and color coated. The substructure comes from roof battens of a roof truss that was dismantled. 

 

SHAPE + COLOR

The shape and the colors of the sculpture originate from the smallest work shown in the exhibition REALIZE UTOPIA. Through the size of the sculpture, a play with scale takes place.

 

PROTOTYP

This is the first sculptural work created by me in the recognizable geometric abstract style. It serves as an understanding of how a sculptural work can look. For future projects I would welcome to continue to work with residual materials left over from the construction project. At the same time I can well imagine to incorporate the know how of craft companies to jointly develop a sculpture that meets all the requirements of craftsmanship and weather conditions.
